I just wanted to update my readers that I’ve made some changes to the site.
First, there are now smilies for comments. Since my review by John, I’ve received many comments and I really appreciate that! Please keep it up and remember that I’ve disabled the nofollow attribute so that everyone who makes a worthwhile comment will get a link back credit.
Second, I’ve signed up for My Blog Log and added a My Blog Log widget to the site. If you like what you’ve read and want to keep up to date on my future posts, I encourage you to join my community. This also encourages me to write worthwhile posts to you in the future as well as give you an opportunity to express topics that you wish to be covered.
Third, I’ve added My Avatars to the comments section so that they will link to your My Blog Log picture if you have one and leave a comment. I think this personalizes the comments section so we can all put a face (or avatar) to a name. I hope this also encourages you to participate in the discussions.
Fourth, I’ve added ratings to the posts. I appreciate any feedback you can provide so that I can target my posts in the future accordingly or otherwise make posts better.
Finally, I’ve set up a new email address for this site. It is ihelpyoublog (at gmail.com). Please send along any comments/questions you may have.

Another note… when you write your comment and hit “tab”, it should go to the “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” checkbox… instead it goes straight to submit…

I think I fixed the widget but I don’t know what to do about the second point. I guess people will just have to be careful. Thanks.
The “Notify me of followup”’s tab order is way out of it. I can only guess it might have something to do with the checkbox being added in as an afterthought via plugin… maybe

The 1st problem I was refering to was about the 9 or so faces from your last visited MyBlogLog users (it was a little late yesterday, and I forgot to give you that detail :oops:)
However I just checked, and that problem is not related to your website, but to MyBlogLog. Their widget is broken! If you cut and paste the script directly in your url, you get the following error:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Host ‘p2.mybloglog.com’ is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with ‘mysqladmin flush-hosts’ in /home/myblogpub/public_html/comm2.php on line 390
Apparently this is happening not only with yours, but with several other blogs…
I guess they’ll fix it later today, so no worries there…
I think they say it might take up to 24 hours after the widget is installed to show the right avatars.
It works now!
I joined your community on MyBlogLog. I don’t think it will take long for that to fill up.
