CityMove
CityMove is a bootstrapped startup struggling to make its mark in the world. I’m the guy behind it.
The concept is simple–if you are looking to move, you need a mover. But who do you trust to move your most personal property? Without Citimove, you probably asked for referrals from friends, acquaintances and co-workers. It took a lot of time to weed through leads and you would never really be sure if you were getting a fair deal or not.
Sure, there are references you could consult to help winnow the field further. Places like Yelp and user forums help a lot. But time runs short and you are left to make a decision based on a less-than-ideal smattering of recommendations, lessons and warnings from a variety of less-than-ideal sources.
And then there is CityMove.com. This small site aims to put you in control of your moving experience. Based on the actual experience of others before you, combined with your exact moving specifications, you can be sure that the mover you choose has provided good service in the past to others, and at a price to you that is competitive.
Think of CityMove.com as the eBay of moving–an online, mover marketplace where movers compete for your business. The site’s slogan is “Movers Bid. You Win.”
